For the "Umbho Lagum Tadong" election campaign supporting Kailash Pradhan, an independent candidate from Gangtok's Tadong constituency, the project focused on addressing critical local issues like unemployment, city planning, and investment politics. Kailash Pradhan, a well-known architect and civic activist, emphasized transforming Gangtok's political culture by reducing the influence of money in elections and focusing on sustainable urban planning.

Our goal was to engage with the common people of Tadong and encourage them to prioritize local progress. The campaign centered around creating awareness on solutions for traffic congestion, unemployment, and responsible city development, which resonated with Pradhan’s stance on preserving Gangtok’s urban landscape while promoting growth. Kailash’s unique approach to campaigning, characterized by his use of creative video content and community outreach, aimed to establish a connection with voters on a personal level, particularly through guerrilla-style communication strategies that made the message accessible to the broader public​









Project Scope: "Umbho Lagum Tadong" Election Campaign for Kailash Pradhan

This project involved creating a comprehensive visual identity and multimedia content to support the election campaign of Kailash Pradhan in Gangtok’s Tadong constituency. The key focus areas were addressing local issues like unemployment, city planning, and investment politics, aimed at reaching the common people of Tadong. My contributions included:

  1. Visual Branding:
    • Designed the visual identity of the campaign, including the logo, color scheme, and typography, aligned with the campaign message "Umbho Lagum Tadong" (Let's Progress, Tadong).
    • Created branded collateral for the candidate's outreach, including posters, flyers, and digital assets.
  2. Video Content Creation for Social Media:
    • Produced short-form video content for social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to engage with the local audience and spread awareness about the candidate’s vision.
    • Used compelling visuals and messaging to emphasize key campaign issues like unemployment and city planning.
  3. YouTube Video Series:
    • Developed a 3-part YouTube series showcasing Kailash Pradhan’s journey, his stance on local issues, and his vision for Tadong.
    • Contributed to video production, post-production, motion graphics, and editing, ensuring a cohesive and professional presentation of the content.

The project aimed to create a unified visual and digital presence that resonated with Tadong’s electorate and amplified the campaign’s key messages through effective branding and storytelling.
